The Direct Link Between Kemet & Islam: Hajar

Both Judeo-Christian sources and Islamic sources testify to the fact that Hajar (Hagar in the Bible) came out of Kemet (Ancient Egypt), making her a daughter of Kemet and Africa. According to Judeo-Christian sources, Hajar was a daughter of Pharaoh who was given as a slave to Ibrahim's(pbuh) wife Sarah.

Studying the culture of Kemet and the role of the Pharaoh and his family, it would have been extremely unrealistic that the Pharaoh would give his daughter to be a slave to anyone. The Pharaoh was the spiritual leader of the people of Kemet, and his daughter was the one that carried the royal rights.

In Ancient Egypt, as well as in all countries nowadays, the seat/throne/chair symbolizes legitimacy/authority. The principle city of a county is called “the seat of the county”. The title of the chief of chiefs is called “Chairman of the Board”. This is one of the countless influences of Ancient Egypt on the world, past and present.

In Egypt, however, the significance of Auset (Isis) as the seat/authority/legitimacy was the basis for Egypt’s adoption of the matrilineal/matriarchal principle in their society.

Throughout Egyptian history, it was the queen who transmitted the solar blood. The queen was the true sovereign, landowner, keeper of the royalty, and guardian of the purity of the lineage. The man who married the eldest Egyptian princess claimed a right to the throne. Through marriage, she transmitted the crown to her husband-he only acted as her executive agent. This social/political law was incorporated into the Egyptian Model Story, whereby Ausar (Osiris) became the first Pharaoh of Egypt, as a result of his marrying Auset (Isis). The Pharaohs, as well as the leaders of smaller localities, adhered to this system. If the Pharaoh/leader had no daughters, a dynasty ended and a new dynasty began, with a new revered woman as a new seed for a new dynasty. The matrilineal practices also applied to the whole society, as evident from the funerary stelae of all kinds of people, where it is the usual custom to trace the descent of the deceased on the mother’s side, and not on that of the father. The person’s mother is specified, but not the father, or he is only mentioned incidentally. This tradition is still enduring secretly among the Baladi Egyptians.

The Pharaoh's entire dynasty depended on him having a daughter. It would have been foolish for Pharaoh to give away his daughter to be a slave, and with the respect the people of Kemet had towards women it would be unrealistic.

The Islamic account however makes much more sense and is more accurate and clear. According to Islamic tradition, Hajar was indeed the daughter of Pharaoh, but he had given her to Ibrahim(pbuh) as a wife, not a slave, for thinking that his wife Sarah was his sister. This is a most interesting point, for by Pharaoh giving his daughter to Ibrahim(pbuh) in marriage, he was giving Ibrahim(pbuh) his throne, or royal rites. His royal bloodline would now be passed down through their son Ishmael(pbuh), and through him the Arab nation would be born, and the coming of Prophet Muhammad(pbuh).

Pharaoh would have been glad to give his daughter Hajar to Ibrahim(pbuh) in marriage, for they were both on the same spiritual level of faith in Allah. Raised in the house of Pharaoh, the spiritual leader of Kemet, Hajar would have been a priestess and a virtuous and pious woman with much faith, fear and love for the Creator. Ibrahim(pbuh) we know from the Qur'an to be one of the most favored prophets of Allah to the fact that Islam is called the religion of Ibrahim(pbuh). Their marriage was the perfect couple for the perfect plan of Allah.

If Hajar had been a weak, idol worshiping slave from Kemet who just happened to have the baby of Ibrahim(pbuh), there would have been no way she would have had the faith to be left in the desert alone with her child. Hajar would not have respected Ibrahim's(pbuh) decision to resettle her unless she already had great faith that Allah would provide. That faith came from her being raised in the Pharaoh's house in Kemet, a land where monotheism and spirituality were strong, if not the greatest of its time.

From this we get that the Ancient Kemetic tradition is passed down through Ibrahim's(pbuh) and Hajar's son Ishmael(pbuh), all the way to the coming of Prophet Muhammad(pbuh) and the Qur'an. The Holy City of Mecca and the Kaaba were established by Hajar, a woman from Kemet, an African Priestess. The entire Arab nation are direct descendants of Kemet, making them descendants of Africa. Hajar is the direct link in the Kemetic/Islamic Connection.
